Hounslow Community Foodbox
If you’re worried about trying to feed yourself or your family, FoodBox can help.
Getting your parcel
You must live in the London Borough of Hounslow to receive one of our food parcels, and you will need to be referred by one of our referral partners. These include various Hounslow Council services like the Community Hub, local schools, or your GP. You can find a list of our regular partners here.
Please note that you cannot self-refer, but we can help you find the right partner if you contact the office at 07719 891787 (open Tues - Fri 10 a.m. – 1p.m. or Sat 10 a.m. – 12 p.m.). You can also email at info@hounslowfoodbox.org.uk
Once you have made contact with your referral partner they will fill out a voucher form with your requirements, including how many people in your family it is for, and send it to FoodBox. We will contact you to say we have received the referral, check your details, and if you are coming to FoodBox, give you a 4-digit collection number.
Your food parcel will usually take 24 hours to prepare after we have received your referral (except on Sundays and Mondays when we are closed), but in emergencies we sometimes can do it the same day.
One voucher form is valid for one food parcel, and will contain enough food for a week. Each parcel needs a new voucher, so if you need more food then you will need to contact your referral partner and ask them to fill out a new form.
FoodBox do not limit the amount of food parcels you can receive. We understand it takes time to sort things out.
Collecting your parcel
When your food parcel is ready for collection FoodBox will contact you by text or phone call and ask you to come to the centre. Please remember to bring your 4-digit collection number with you to receive your parcel.
FoodBox is located at Rose Community Centre, Hawthorn Road, Brentford, TW8 8NT. The nearest bus stop is the Syon Lane bus stop X or the W on London Road.
The opening times are:
Your referral voucher is valid for one week. If you do not collect your food parcel within this time, it will be returned to stock and you will need a new referral voucher to pick-up a food parcel.
If you are unable to visit the FoodBox centre during opening times, please ask a friend or family member to collect it for you using the 4-digit collection number. If you are required to self-isolate or have limited mobility or health issues we can arrange for your food parcel to be delivered.
Delivering your food parcel
If you are required to self-isolate or have limited mobility or health issues we can arrange for your food parcel to be delivered.
Delivery depends upon the availability of volunteer drivers. Your parcel should be delivered within one to two working days, but may take longer. The volunteer driver will contact you directly on the day of the delivery to make sure you are at home.
