Brentford Creative Mile Raises Over £1,000 for Hounslow Community FoodBox

Hounslow Community FoodBox would like to say a huge thank you to everyone who supported us during Brentford Creative Mile 2026.

The event, which took place on 5 and 6 September, was a fantastic opportunity for us to meet people from across the local community, talk about the work of FoodBox and raise vital funds to support individuals and families experiencing financial hardship across the London Borough of Hounslow.

Art, community and a fantastic response

Thanks to the generosity of visitors, artists, supporters and volunteers, we raised over £1,000 across the weekend. These funds will directly support our work providing emergency food parcels to people referred to us at times of crisis.

Our art raffle proved particularly popular, with more than a dozen people winning artwork generously donated by coveted local artists.

We are extremely grateful to everyone who purchased raffle tickets, made a donation, stopped to speak with our volunteers or simply took the time to learn more about what we do.

We would also like to thank the artists who donated their work, the organisers of Brentford Creative Mile for providing us with the opportunity to take part, and our FoodBox volunteers who gave their time throughout the weekend. The success of the event would not have been possible without this collective support.

Although Creative Mile has now finished, the need for emergency food support continues throughout the year.

FoodBox relies heavily on the generosity of local residents, community organisations and businesses to ensure that we can continue providing emergency food parcels to individuals and families when they need them.
