Radnor House learns about FoodBox

01-10-2014

Ten pupils from Radnor House in Twickenham came to the Hounslow Community FoodBox on 1 October with a very generous donation of food and to spend a day learning about the service. They participated in many activities that included preparing food boxes for clients, designing a christmas bag and creating a new poster to recruit more volunteers. They were delightful and everyone had a very enjoyable day.

We had two guest speakers on the day: Hugh Picton who has extensive experience of volunteering and Julie Brooker Employment Pathways Co-Ordinator from A2 Dominion who gave a presentation about how she became a volunteer and how it led to her being employed.  Our thanks to both guest speakers.
