Hounslow’s Community FoodBox needs your help

A new food bank, Hounslow Community FoodBox, which will provide emergency supplies for local residents in crisis, is in need of 50 volunteers to help run the day to day operation.  If you are looking for an exciting opportunity, enjoy working as part of a team and want to help the residents in your community, we would love to hear from you.

The idea has been developed by the London Borough of Hounslow and the Hounslow Federation of Tenants and Residents Associations (HFTRA) with the aim of involving residents and local groups in working together to prevent and relieve poverty, as well as creating new employment and work experience opportunities.

The ASDA superstore in Hounslow is our main partner and will provide a collection point for shoppers to donate non-perishable items, collection dates can be found on this website. You can donate non-perishable food items directly by bringing them to the FoodBox at The Tenants Resource Centre, Fraser House, Green Dragon Lane, Brentford TW8 ODQ.

Distribution of the non-perishable food boxes has begun and works on a voucher system, with recipients being given vouchers by FoodBox Approved Referrers which they will be able to exchange for a FoodBox.
